So, today I went out ice fishing and marked many fish. They would just come up to my lure and sit there. I had some follow it it up, but then disappear. Any advice? I was using a silver buckshot spoon with a minnow head. 
You have to keep multiple lures/jigs in different sizes colors in the arsenal and change often to see what they are “hungry” for. Also try changing up the jigging speed, line twist… So many vaiables. There are often times when I’m out, I’ll change my set up 10-15 times before I get a bite. Where were you and what were you fishing for?

I’ve had similar experiences, sometimes the fish just don’t want to bite. I had a day earlier this year that I never had a bite, they would just come up real slow and sit on the jig and then go back down. Tried every lure I could think of, nothing. Went back the next day and fished the same holes, caught fish on nearly every bait I tried. Same conditions, same temp, same lures… just didnt wan’t to bite that one day.

I was fishing Green Lake. It’s by Chisago, Mn. I was trying to fish for walleye. I tried the buckshot, swedish pimples, and a slender spoon.
I have had days where they want the whole minnow and have also picked up the tail end that I pinched off the head from and bingo they wanted the other end. If there staying and looking they want to bite you just have to figure out what they want to bite on. Some times they want something small sometimes something bigger than what you think they would even take.

It’s been pretty slow on that lake this year for Walters. Been out there 3 times myself this year and have buddy’s with wheelhouses out there that have been out 10+ times and that’s all we could get them to do was look at the jig for awhile and then leave.
I like James tip from that panfish show, all the lures you use and don’t work put in the transducer holder on your flasher…Then you know what you have tried so far, and just keep changing it up until you get bit…Sometimes they just don’t want anything, them days suck haha
Perfect day for a camera.
Not much more that a person can do than keep changing lures and presentation. Need to keep on the move to and showing those lures and presentations to new fish. For me 10 minutes is a long time on a hole with out a bite. Somedays it might be just a minute or two a hole and moved on if not seeing what I want.
I’ll have to switch more when that happens. Thanks guys! 
Don’t forget to let it sit very very still as well. On days they rush in for a look, the trigger might be letting it sit with no movement at all for 10-15 seconds. Happened just last weekend. Two guys in a shack and the only one getting bit was the guy with no flasher, and all but dead sticking a small bait tipped with a waxie. A dozen fish (perch/crappie) later and we, too learned the bite.
