I am looking to add to my growing collection of ice rods. I currently have a perch sweetheart rod (medium light blank) from thorne bros but am looking for a new rod for tangling with some larger eyes with a medium blank. I am interested to hear what others are using and having good luck with. Thanks in advance for the replies and merry christmas.

Don’t know about your brand type, but I was convinced at this years show to try out the TUCR rods. I am going up to LOW this weekend to give them a try, I will let you know. cant wait to try them.

You will love the TUCR bought two at the ice show this year and tested them out at LOTW the last 5 days. All I can say is these rods are awesome!!! Pick one up you won’t be disappointed. The rods I bought were the 32″ Eva and split grip precision rods.

Like these guys said, just give TUCR a call and tell them the size of lures you want to use with it most and your fishing style (inside shack, hole hopping or 50/50 with either) They will help match the perfect rod for you.

I can’t speak for tucr. I have a perch sweetheart rod and a couple of walleye sweetheart rods. I’m sure you can’t go wrong with either brand but I can say you will be very happy with the Thorne brothers sweetheart rods. I liked the walleye rod so much I bought a blank and made a custom rod for myself so I have two. If you are looking for a custom rod I or trumar can make one for you.

You really can’t go wrong with a Thorne Bros Walleye Sweetheart. The blanks are made in the states too.

Really depends on the lures you plan on bringing out there.

Rods are very tuned to certain lures and actions. Make sure to match the 90% of lures your will be fishing with that rod. It will improve the experience.

Are you jigging more spoons or hard type baits (Rippin Raps, blade baits)?

We have rods for both types.
