Taking friends out for personal records Part II

Well last week I discussed how fun it was to take your friend out to finally get a legal walleye and how he ended the day with a 28 1/8 eye to end his day. Well this week got better for him not in his catch but his 7 year old son’s first walleye 21″ and he was not the only dad that got to see his son’s largest eye to date caught, Joethefisher also saw his son Ty catch a 27 1/2 inch eye also and that was 1 of 2 – 27 1/2 eyes iced in our group we also landed allot of slot fish.Augtroll also caught his largest eye to date at 23 1/2.It’s fun watching your friends catch the largest walleyes of there lives and getting upset because there slot fish and can not go home with them. It was quit a day with more slot fish on the ice then keepers. All in all the memories of the year just keep on building hope I’m the one that gets the one over 30″s ( not holding my breath LOL) but if not and one of them get it I will be very happy for them and add just one more memory for the season.

Nice report and it sure sounds like you all had a blast out there not to mention catching some really nice Walleyes. It always gives me a great thrill to see someone catch there biggest fish and even more exciting to see the kids catch there biggest fish. Ok now this may be the smallest of the pics but the greatest for me. This is my 7 year old son who decided after a 3 year hiatus he wanted to get back out ice fishing. So we spent the day, just us. Unfortunately this one went back 1/2″ shy but that was ok with him. He lost 3 other ones just below the hole that where definite slot fish. We brought one home for mom and sent back a slot and one 15″ that was not worth the chance on a fine. This was one of best days on the ice. I got my little fishing partner back and he wants back out as soon as possible.

Thanks to everyone in our little city . I’ve had a ball the last two weekends between my 28 n half pig to my 7 year old son first 5 eyes on the ice. Memories forever. Out Boar.
