Anyone doing well with the clam psycho shad???…ive been using them quite a bit on my jigging rods but am yet to catch any eyes on em..they seem to be a great attractor..ive been doing great on my deadsticks, but yet to have a bite on the shad..lots of lookers, and they chase it off bottom but refuse to bite em…not sure if its just the spots ive been fishing, because im not getting alot of hits on spoons either..

haven’t used the psycho shad, but I have gotten the same results with similar baits including the lindy or salmo darters and rapala clacking/rippin raps. They definitely bring in fish, but no biters for me over the years on these style baits. I’m probably fishing them incorrectly.

When it calls them in do you just jiggle it ever so lightly? I believe that it was either IDO’s fishing or another show I saw them do that as well. Unless the fish are super aggressive, they are going to strike it while it is being jigged hard.

I assume you guys are just softly jiggling it when a fish comes in, but thought I’d check anyway.

Tried a ton of different motions, a light jig makes the shad spin in circles..ive also tried jigging it real hard and letting it fall slowly, and they eyes have followed em like 3ft up in my water column, but i can’t get a stike..even tried holding em still after some eyes chased em up off bottom, but they always end up hitting my deadstick instead

Real murky water..ive got the glow and red,the chartreuse shiner, and the tiger perch colored one..i usually do well on the gold slender but they havnt been landing any fish either…doing real good on the deadsticks with white glow demons with a red dot…kinda weird, the eyes will aggressively chase em,but wont bite em,even.on the drop..like i said though, they definitely bring fish to the area
