Looking for a new rod that will be used for Walleyes mostly. I have a St Croix Premier 28″ Med now, just wondering how this compares to the Fenwick Elite Tech. Both are priced about the same

I have both and like them about the same. The guides on the St. Croix are a little bit not aligned but I looked at my Fenwick wrong and the tip broke.

I would seriously consider a custom rod from Thorne Bros or TUCR.

I have both. Use my Premier more frequently however that’s attributed to the set up (reel/line combo) versus the actual stick itself. I’ve had no performance issues with either stick and would happily fish with either.

The TUCR rods do look very nice but are more than I want to spend for a walleye rod. I would defiantly consider them when it comes time to replace my panfish rods though. I do a lot more pan fishing than walleye fishing

Try 13 Fishing rods maybe? heard great things about them, going to order my first one right now.

I’m not a fan of St Croix Premier rods. IMO they are all the same rod with different spring bobbers attached to them. I’m a fan of the Mr Walleye rods from Norsemen. Good blanks and very sensitive.

Those are the legend series and i’m not a fan of them either. I do have a couple premiers set up with braid for jigging spoons and they are a good rod for the money. I think they are around $30. My thorne bros walleye sweetheart makes it hard to fish with the st. Croix anymore though!
