I finally got my new LX7 out a couple times this past week and love it so far. However, I noticed today when fishing outside the shack for the first time some challenges with glare. What have other folks with this unit done to help with this?

Same problem! I just move and adjust the unit.

Shield off, backlight turned up and face the unit so the sun wont hit it directly, or use your body as a sunblocker…

Bingo! Shaley is right on the money.
Can also adjust the tilt of the display if the wind & sun are tag teaming up on you.

I fixed my problem. I put a 3M privacy screen for I-pads on my screen. The glare is 99% gone. The privacy screen is made from a couple million nano tubes, so that you can only look trough if you are looking straight (+/- 30degree) on your screen. If light comes from the side it simply is blocked, unless it is coming right trough your head

That’s an awesome idea! Way to think out of the box!

so you put it on the lcd screen is what I think I’m seeing. What if you put it on the snow shield?
