Lazer auger vs. synthetic lazer auger

    Do any of you guys know if there is any big differences in the regular lazer ice auger and the newer synthetic lazer auger? If so, what are they? Is it worth spending so much more money? Thanks

    Just a guess here, probably different “better” blades of some sort. And synthetic would lead me to believe that it is made of a lighter synthetic material. Again not sure.

    2 differences with the synthetic:

    1. The flighting is plastic (synthetic) which saves a pound and a half on weight for the 6″

    2. $70
