So I think my charger for my Marcum VX-1pro is bad. The light on it constantly shows red that it is charging. The battery is only two years old so I’m not sure that it is a battery problem. Does any body know where I can get a charger for it? I went to Gander in Woodbury and they didn’t even have a charger for any flasher and I can’t wait till spring when Cabelas opens up here

Do not rule out your battery, them things are made in china these days like every thing else from there they do not last. I would take a volt meter and check the output of the charger first. If you have 13v its the battery if you have 0v its the charger.

You have a battery-plus, battery-mart or any battery store in your area? I had the same problem last year and picked one up at my local battery mart.

Unplug the charger from the wall for about 5 seconds.. then plug it back in… come back in a bit and check the light.. It has happened to me too a couple of times… I did the above and the green light came on…

My LX-5 and LX-7 chargers both stayed red, I have an old Vexilar charger that will shoe green when charged. I still use the MarCum charger just double check with the other.

I’ll second the Battery Tender Junior.

Same problem here. I just used my LX7 for the first time Thursday. Put it on the charger at 6pm and it was still red when I left for work tonight. I bought it this spring and have been charging it every month or so since and it worked fine. The voltage gauge on LX7 showl HI V so I guess it is charging just would like it to show green when it is charged instead of having to open case to look.

Same problem with my LX-6 charger, stays red, bought a Battery Tender Jr. for those small batteries and a Tender Plus for the ATV, MC, UTV, LM’s, and HC while I was at it.
After a little internet research it appears as though a quality charger with a float feature helps extend battery life and performance.

Well when I got home from work this morning I tried the unplug for a few minutes trick and not long after plugging it back in it turned green so all’s good. Just can’t wait to get out and use the lx7 again.

The old unplug replug trick. Ecnook nailed it. Glad to hear your green light turned on.

Went out today for awhile and got home put it on the charger at about 5pm. Checked it before I left for work and the light was green. On a side note I did notice today that the lines between the numbers on graph mode flash on and off every minute or so. Not sure if that is normal but I’m calling Marcum tomorrow.
