Thermal hub question?

I just bought my first total thermal hub
I have had a non insulated version in the past
I also own a flip over but from time to time I like using the hub….

My question is this… I found that the thermal hub retains a lot of moisture even from a very light snow from the other day and condensation that built up on the walls and the ceiling which made it more difficult to fold up and much heavier. If I was on a 3 day trip I could see that this could become a huge problem as I don’t always have a location to dry it out every time

Has anyone else experienced this problem and have any advise?

This unit happens to be an Eskimo FatFish 949i
Is this normal with thermal units?

My (non-thermal Eskimo Quickfish 3) has always frosted up, makes it difficult to get it back in the bag. My last 5-6 times out I have brought it with every time and haven’t set it up once. To me it’s only worth the 5 minutes of time setting up and taking down if I can’t bear the cold… and I handle cold pretty well. (If I’m killing the fish and other people are around then I set it up for “privacy reasons”)

this is a common issue with that house nothing is wrong with it, thats just how those houses are and the flip over houses are no differnt unless you were to get a otter 1200 but in hubs they will all hold the frost and make it heavier set it up in the garage and run a heater in it before your next outting and you’ll be good to go

I have the 949 non insulated and it gets very “frosty” as well. I don’t even attempt to put in in the bag when I’m done fishing because it is near impossible. When I get home I just pop it up quick in the basement to dry.

I tried my new thermal popup Sunday it got frosty but it folded up just fine and is in the bag waiting to be used again. I only wish the tie straps were longer and had a metal loop to sinch against for wrapping the thing up.

The Velcro can suck to hook up when it is full of snow and a lot of pressure in it.

    What kind did you get?
