just saw the black betty post and it made me want an inline rod and reel combo. looked online and found some decent prices on some. just wondering if anyone had any favorites…..100 dollars for an ice reel is not an option as much as i wish i could get that 6061?

What ever in-line reel you decide to buy make sure it has the “free spool” option

Let us know what you decide on.

I have a Genz inline and am now considering an Eagle Claw in line….$29.95-$44.95 depending on the type of spool. The Eagle Claw is a free spool.

I would also look at the Eagle Claw #ECILIR if you have low budget, but I would pick my own rod tho.

I have the frabill 101 and love it the only bad part is there is no free spool on it. the reel is super smooth. I think I can get that rod down faster than all my spinning rod.

Just think of them as the Tony special.. They look good, he looks good, it’s all good..

BTW, I’m gonna make a run for some fish bucks, so you all might just want to logout. Or make some coffee!

I have a BB6061 and I love it. I tried the EC inline and compared to the 6061 the EC felt like a pepper grinder.

I have the 241 and can safely tell you it was a waste of money for me. Biggest problem was the weight, it was made very well but way too heavy and it also did not have the free spool feature. Great drag however, but all in all it threw off the weight of the combo too much for me to buy another one, I would much rather have a lighter spinning reel than the 241. Now the 261 is currently on my x-mas list. I’ve held them and they are a lot lighter and have the free spool, so if the drag is as good as the 241 the 261 should be really really good. Hope this helps.

I have 3 EC in-lines and one frabill 261. I’ve caught plenty of fish on them so far and they have all performed flawlessly. The Frabill 261 seems to be slightly better quality, but you won’t be disappointed with any of them.
