With the recent cold weather there are signs of more and more ice each day. The lower Bay has quite a bit of ice stretching across the bay. The bays of Little Sturgeon Bay along with Rileys Bay and the Bay of Sturgeon Bay have ice at this point. I have not been on this ice to check how much there is but I would imagine that with the cold temps it will not be long before it is safe.With quite a bit of open water out there still ecspecially as you get further north and the winds that we are having may have a negative impact on the ice that is there. I will be out checking ice thickness in the upcoming days and will post some info as things progress. Please feel free to contact me for ice conditions if you are planning to visit the area.
