    Ordered a Zack Shack, Mack Shack 12′ model.

    Would be interested in any Mods that anybody has added to the shack….mounted heaters, lights, fans, tv, etc.

    Thanks,
    Terry

    I’ve had mine for two seasons now, and can tell you that I love it! If you’re going to be using it as a sleeper I would recommend that you add a direct vent heater. First year I heated it with a buddy heat, and while it kept it plenty warm, the condensation in the morning was horrible! Upgraded to an Atwood forced air heater, and love it.
    Future upgrades for mine:
    * inverter/battery charger
    * generator
    * small flip table for electronics
    Also thinking about adding a rubber floor.

    Just can’t say enough positive things about my Zack Shack!!!!!

    When they say 6 x 10. Is that the internal usable floor space or the overall dimensions?

    Thanks,

    I would say that will be the external measurements. I was measuring mine today, thinking about adding a rubber floor, and it’s several inches short of 6′ X 12′. The spray foam insulation they use is not a uniform thickness so the inside width will very a little around the frames and walls. I’ll double check mine tomorrow to make sure.

    Thanks sir! Last night my wife and I had a 6 x 10 area in our living room set up for ice fishing. We had rods and chairs within the area. We think we might be able to pull that off as a family with three small children. Now I am rethinking it.

    Francisco: I measured it this morning and my 6×12 measures 5’7″ X 11’9″ for an inside floor dimension. I would not want to fish a family of five out of mine for very long, especially on cold days where we would all be inside, and most certainly would not consider doing an overnight! As much as I love my Zack Shack, I’m not sure it will accommodate your family.

    Blake: not sure how to post pictures so if you pm me your info I will send you the pictures and an explanation of what I would do differently, and why.

    Which would be better to install…camper type charger/converter or marine type battery charger?
