I get off the escalator at the Ice Fishing show and I am greeting by the great James Holst. He sees my Four Seasons hoodie says he likes the shop and asks if I work there. We had a nice, but short, conversation.
It is nice to see that fame hasn’t gone his head.
I’ve met James several times. I think it’s safe to say he will always be one of us. 
Same here. He handed me what turned out to be a winning pull tab. Won a great pair of Ice fishing gloves. More than paid for my ticket the moment I walked in!
James is a great very down to earth guy.

He probably didn’t think of himself as famous. After this post, we’ll have a diva amongst us.

Here’s my brush with fame. Chuck Ross of “The Outdoors and You” used to live near us and my dad befriended him.
