We’re finally making ice here in ohio! I’m hoping to be drilling holes by Sunday, and piping crappie. It’s been 3yrs since we last had a good ice season.

December 16, 2013 at 6:54 am #1371658I was able to get on the ice yesterday. I drove just a little north to my hometown in Michigan. Saturday dumped about 7″ of snow on us, so conditions were a bit slushy. I had to work for them but, ended the day with 18 gills/sunfish and 5 perch.

The guys here in ohio do like their vib’es. I had never even heard of a vib’e till I moved here. It’s nice having a real winter again. The last couple years have been a real let down and has really taken its toll on the lakes.
