That will make some ice! Good thing we were in Aberdeen last week hunting and not during that weather.

By the way, have you ever fished Richmond Lake? We stay there2 times a year and I am always tempted to bring a few rods up.

Richmond lake has decent gills and crappies. Occasionally a walleye/bass.

We caught decent Gil’s in the spring. There is no natural structure in that lake. The GF&P put some man-made structures out in the lake. Do some research on the internet and you can get an idea where they put the structures

That will definite make some good ice real fast. We were fortunately spared the brunt of the snow and let it all go to Minnesota. Sioux Falls to Brookings around 6″, Huron to Aberdeen 3-4″. We avoided the insulation blanket, but we are ending up with some brutal winds.

Headed to Webster on Wednesday night. Should make for good ice and able to use the ATV’s.

Well, we’re heading out there (45 miles west and south) Friday morning for 5 days of pheasant hunting. Temps I can deal with, it’s the darn wind that makes it difficult. This is my fourth trip with the last coming the week between Xmas and New Years. Like I’ve said in the past, pheasant hunting is an illness that no one should have to experience. Boy, sure am glad it’s the only hunting I do.
