I’m sorry, but I looked in the history and could not find where this line was discussed and I swear I seen it somewhere. Anyway, I used PLine in the past in 6lb for most all of my fishing. Thought about trying Crystal this year. I picked some up and it looks good was just wondering about how white the color of the line is and if the fish can see the stuff?? Don’t really want to run a leader. Any opinions?

    Thanks!

A friend of mine uses it without a leader with success. He finds minimal issues with fraying or icing up during the Indiana ice season. I bought some at the end of last year on clearance and will give it a go. Primarily use 4-6#

All I use. But I run 6lb. to a invisaswivel then 2-4lb leader. I don’t know what the fish are seeing but I do well on the catching end.

As far as the invisaswivel they do see that but I like them for the neutral buoyancy part. JMO it works for me.

I had thought about trying this as well this year but I haven’t had the best experiences with Fireline. I do like trying new lines through the ice however, I’m interested to hear some first hand inputs as well!

Should have added not much memory and no stretch so if you feel for the bite you will really like the sensitivity.

I tried it a few years back and did not like it. It iced up real bad with N Minnesota’s weather. I use Spiderwire Stealth in the green and also in Spiderwire Ultra-cast Invisa braid. Much better IMHO

Same here it seemed to ice up really bad for me as well. I’m going to try the Suffix 832 this year in 6lb.

Interesting….Why do you like the neutral over a weighted swivel??

It’s like not having a swivel. My jig pulls the line down instead of a weighted swivel that could cause slack in the leader between the swivel and the jig. JMO.
