Hopefully you can get out early in the coming week. End of the week things get ugly up in your neck of the woods. Of course those cold temps will do great things for the ice on the bigger lakes.

Yea that kind of weather makes for tough ice fishing. Like you said tho it is great for locking up and making good ice on the lake trout lakes in the Ely area.

And the stream trout lakes. Ice before snow is always a good thing on those deep lakes!

Peyton said he is glad you were able to catch some walleyes. He also laughed cause you had to pull Will’s sled. Those walleyes had great color.

Loved the show as always james, just would have liked to see the struggles on day one. its nice to see a lot of nice eyes iced. just would have liked to see how you went about on the ice on a bad day.I understand you have to catch fish to make a show. just from a learning perspective would have been nice to see how you dealt with the bad conditions. Again loved it great show keep em coming

hey guys die hard ice fisherman here stuck in texas due to serving our country. heading up to Ely in a couple weeks as I am taking leave for the holidays. I went to college up there in Ely, and it is a sportsman paradise. I also worked at the resort that You went out of in this episode. that lake can be a pain sometimes but its a great fishery. have pulled many big walleye, pike, and 17 inch crappies out of there. wondering however where the little lake you started on was. aka name of it. have been researching many of the small lakes and cannot come to a decision on which to try. I will have 3 days to fish up there and trying to limit the decisions. I will fish farm for the larger crappies. just looking for walleye spots. fiancé back here in texas wants some limits for her and the kids. Thanks and I enjoy your videos please keep them coming

First and foremost I think I speak for all of IDO when I say THANK YOU for your service!

Any help we can be towards putting you on some fish is the least we can do. I will PM you with details about some of the smaller lakes we hit, but also make sure to shoot Ben Putnam a quick PM as he’s the type of guy who will bend over backwards to make sure you catch fish and will be able to provide much more current info when you get up there.

It looked like this *walking, drill hole–walking, drill hole–walking, drill hole… move, check depth, jig– move, check depth, jig–move, check depth, jig* We also sang songs and made fun of Miley Cirus… but that content couldn’t air, I’m sure.

Pretty much sums it up. There’s just one thing I want to know Ben… What does the fish say?!
