November 17 was the earliest I’ve ever been out on Koshkonong.

We have 2 inchs in Omaha area lakes. I can’t remember ever having ice this early.

I’m taking this as a sign of another nice long ice season ahead I really enjoyed this years walleye opener out on the ice some of the best late ice pan fishing and walleye fishing I think I ever had

Or maybe we’ll be blessed with ice-out on Feb 1st this season.

Looks like you may have had a goose visit you as well on the ice!
Maybe he was eyeing up your open water hole!

this lake is notorious for the geese they usually keep the middle open almost all winter but they got locked out this year there were about 200 of them standing in a circle in the middle of the lake lol before I left for the day they all left this is going to be a fun season I can feel it

I remember years back as a kid, we had Ice on Albert Lea area lakes in early Nov, and running my dad’s snow-blower to clean our Ice Rink off before Thanksgiving
