    Hey Everyone,

I like most of you would love to get the portable out on the ice this weekend (11/30/2013). Anybody know If Owasso or anything in the southern metro have 3-4 inches of ice? Lakeville/Prior Lake area.

Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

I ventured out on Prior Lake (lower) on the 26th and drilled a couple holes and that had 5″. I only went out about 20 yards cuz I didn’t want to go for a swim.

I just read that Owasso is experiencing a major fish kill. No one knows why.

I read that on another site too. reports of hundreds of fish including dozens of muskies and hundreds of walleye can be seen floating through the ice? This is no good. I’ll take a look myself on sunday

Wow, I was gonna head up there with the portable tomorrow. Looks like I’m gonna have to try find a lake in the southern metro.

From the report on Fox9, doesn’t sound like a good season on Owasso.

Stopped by Owasso this morning, lots of dead fish. The DNR was there so I talked to them, they were taking oxygen readings and got 10.5 parts per million which was good. The guys I talked to didn’t think it was lack of oxygen. There sure are a lot of nice GREEN lawns right down to the waters edge, not much of a buffer zone.
