    Can someone tell me where to find the best price on the battery? Vexlar is close to a year old. Thanks! PS the fish are biting today!!

    If you bought it new less than a year ago I would be contacting Vexilar.

    Agreed. A one year old battery should not be dead. Where ever you do buy it will probably run about $40.

    I you live near a Farm and Fleet they do have them. Or go to Batteries Plus. They will test it out for you and then you can decide what you want to do!!

    I bought a couple cabelas batteries (link below…) and have had good luck with them. $19.99 apiece…RR

    I got 2 off Amazon last year and they were cheaper than anywhere that I found and they were 9 amp.

    X2. I’ve bought from both amazon and ebay (reputable dealers). 9ah SLA are about $18-$22 usually including shipping. They last a long time and hold a good charge, I just go through them so darn fast because I use them all the time for different projects!

    Doesn’t matter if it has “Vexilar” or “Marcum” or whatever written on them… they are all the same. Some are better quality than others, but not good enough to pay twice as much for.

    Gander mtn wants $49.99 for a 7ah here.

    I bought 2 12ah last year off E Bay for $53 shipped, they sat from late ice untill Aug when a guy at camp needed them for his portable HDS unit they still lasted him the week…I use one for my HDS as dedicated GPS other for spare shack power to charge phones, i pods, and run lights

    Just found my receipt and they will be 2 years old 12-22. Sure seems like it’s not been a year…time passes too fast!! Thanks!!

    I still would think it shouldn’t have crapped out already…was it maintained over the summer?
