Quick question for ya. Bought my Lazermag Solo as soon as they came out. Broke it in with Amsoil Saber at 50:1. After that I leaned it out to 70:1. Still having black residue coming out the muffler? Not much smoke just black residue every time I use it. Just wondering if I need to lean it out more 80:1 or 100:1 or is this just normal? Thanks for the replies!
Btw I’m running 91 octane non oxy fuel. I literaly have to wipe down my auger and muffler after each use. Doesn’t quite seem right?
That black stuff is unburned oil, Saber oil is made to run at 100:1. I run my strikemaster Saber 100:1 and still get a little black gue. But not enough to wipe every use maybe every season. Take your muffler off and clean it with carb cleaner then mix this year’s gas 100:1 and your problem should go away.

Going on 6th season with my Tanaka running 80-1 and still no black goo….
I have a magnum and run the oil that has the strikemaster logo mixed with 1 gallon of 91 octane and runs like a dream.At first it will smoke a little until it warms up but other wise no black stuff out of the muffler.
