I got my eye on a local pond. It’ll be a week of sub freezing highs before I set boot on it.

Honestly people need to use a little common sense. Just because there is two inches of ice near shore doesn’t mean 2 inches all over. Spud bar people! Hope the guy is alright.

It’s not good for the individual but what family and friends have to deal with and mostly those involved in the rescue. It was not there choice yet they have to deal with the bad judgement of one individual.

I know very well how bad most of us want to be dropping a line down the hole for the first time this season but your life and those effected by your choice should be well thought out.

My best wishes and prayers go out to everyone this season on the ice.

Not to beat a dead horse but have we really had any cold weather yet? I mean its been raining lightly today, its been very windy the last few days. Its just plain not ice making weather. This guy used worse than poor judgement and I hope it does not cost him his life or worse

I have fished that lake many of times it is pretty much a flowage type lake that drains into the Mississippi. All I have caught is small perch.

I hope everything turns out OK but really what are people thinking? Not thinking I guess.
