lx7 upgrade help

    i cant get my lx7 to upgrade. i keep following the instructions on marcums website but i don’t get a beep at the end and it doesn’t change software. has this happened to anyone else?

    Mine wouldn’t beep either. I got on their website and followed their directions to send it in and got it back fairly quickly. Great service – no charge!

    Be sure to download the correct file depending on what existing software verision you are updating from. I know last year there were several people that used the wrong updating file causing errors on the machine. Funny thing most blamed marcum for the errors because they used the wrong file. That could be the problem, or maybe it did update, but didn’t beep. Look on the machine to see what version you have either way.

    Try a differnt computer or USB cable, I have several usb2 cables but only 1 works for the updates…

    i know it is the right file its from 2.9 or older and i did check to see if it did still update with no beep. but no.

    i can try a diff cord or diff computer. did your marcum still conect to your computer when you where using a chord that didnt work?

    I dont think it did, been a couple years since I updated… I’m still an update behinde but like that version…

    I am assuming you are at the last step where you move the file and drop it into the LX7 storage device shown up on your desktop? And upon doing so it never gives you the long beep to chirp sound?

    Its possible you may no have the correct file or the file itself may have error during the download. Did you try trashing the file and then redownload a fresh copy and re-attempt the update? If all else fails and another pc dont work bring it to Marcum.

    Yup thats what is happening. I tryed two diff pcs and no difference. One time the chirp got loud for one chirp but it wasn’t a beep. idk maybe i will have to bring it in. Thanks for the help guys! -Hunter
