Could have swore I saw ice over the water in Fishermans bay on Onalaska driving in to work this morning. Anoyone else in the La Crosse area pass through there and notice also, or were my eye’s tricking me?

Not that its going to mean a lot to me if there was anyway. 3 more weeks of deer hunting and then I need to start re-filling the brownie points ‘bank’ for spring open water.

Supposed to go to costa rica for her best friends wedding in April. Figure that trip should buy me a couple weekends worth of fishing at least. (i HATE flying, going to see the doc so I can be heavily sedated beforehand if I go).

Maybe you live in a different situation than I do, but there is no such thing as enough brownie points. The more I do, the more is expected of me. Guess that’s what a guy gets for marrying an only child.

To the single guys out there fishing is just not for the aquatic kind. Do the same while looking for a wife. Just the fact that my wife and I respect each other is the all the brownie points we need. I get to come and go as I please as long as I don’t take over advantage of it. I got a keeper the second time around.

Ok I can relate to the previous posts.

Ask your provider for Adavan(sp?) its an anti anxiety med. Doesn’t snow you, but it sure helps with the pre-flight jitters. Both my wife and I take it before we fly. 1 after we go through security, 1 when they start boarding and 1 when we get to our seats and if the beverage cart comes by, a beer or two and I’m a pretty mellow passenger.

Your eyes weren’t playing tricks on you. The back end of the bay wasn’t skimmed over but the shore line along the road had ice about 20 yards out. This weekend won’t help but early Dec hopefully.

Late this afternoon, ice was still there! From just West of the landing all the way back to the airport and almost all the way to the North shore of that bay. 50’s, rain and wind forecast over the weekend. Gonna have to wait and scratch that itch a little later.
