Custom Jigs n Spin – Lightning spoon – New look??

Head Up Guys!!
I recently ordered a batch of lures from CJS and part of it was some 1/8 oz Lightning Spoon in Clown color.

The lure seem to have almost no curve to it (almost look like just a play straight spoon ) with no 3-d eyes.

I purchased these from many places around town in the past and they always have the 3-d eyes. Have anyone got any that doesn’t have this? I am a believer in the 3-d eyes which makes it more life like and I use this spoon for it “S” curve action (which is unique from all other spoon).

Talking to the guys at CJS, they say that this is the new look/style and I can return it if I don’t like the lure.

Question: Is it worth my time/money to send these lure back for a refund (4 spoons )? (I double checked their site, it has the picture of the spoon with 3-d eyes.) Wish I would known this sooner and didn’t order the batch as now I am stuck with these spoons and lose-lose situation…

Thanks for the offer. I am just carious if this is the new look. I would hate to see this lure changed as it been one of my favorite… I dont use it much no more but I always dont leave the house without 2 of them in 1/8oz in my tackle… Old Faithful.

Also, I do believe the page showing 3d eyes…

Before this gets discussed at length, I was able to locate some of the version Kou is looking for. He got a few of a “revised” edition that shouldn’t have been sent out. He is correct, what he calls the ‘Old” version is what’s on the website, with the fake eyes, don’t know I’d call them 3d but certainly not painted. Funny I tried to call him back, within a few minutes after talking to him and wasn’t able to reach him so I left a VM. To my surprise in that short time frame I received an email from him and was told about this post on IDO.
If he’d like to return those I’ll be happy to send out replacements and reimburse his return postage as well.

Thanks, I’ll take a look at it. The wife use the phone as soon as I am home. So I doubt I see it till later (glad my phone bill is half after cutting down to 1 smartphone). But if this model is going out, might have to order more of it before it gone.

They be going out tomorrow am for those old model ones…
Posted bc I wanted to know if anyone else gotten these. Funny how this models alone disappear from Gander M. shelf while all other color and size stay there… Believe me, I checked many location before ordering, so it is hot!! In fact, I havent found any 1/8oz in clown in the last couple of years from Cabelas/Gander M. Last place I found and bought them at was at this small Mille Lacs bait shop.

We have lots of the 1/8th Clown in stock, for now, in what you call the ‘Old” version.Tell you what, go ahead and keep those and give them a try, no sense spending extra postage on $8.00 worth of lures, that’s silly. I’ll send the others out no charge. If you need anything else ,let’s communicate via email rather than cluttering the IDO boards.

Change my email and I lost my login info… But the last time I posted was when my LX7 went crazy after software upgrade which was about 1 yr ago. I purchased many times from you guys before, just not under my own name as we normally bundle from many guys for 1 larger order. Normally once every year before ice season starts.

Look at it this way, now when a buddy asks to borrow one of your hot lures you can toss him the straight one.

I have never had a problem with a single order I have ever placed with you guys but its good to know that if I do you will stand behind what you sell 100%. I put that in the comment box for both my orders this week, the one for my demon jigging spoons and blades, and the order for my slender & pro slender spoons I also told the receptionist on the phone that I wanted a checkai hat, and she said she would let the boys know, hahaha
