    Oh Man !!!

    I have been waiting for ice season since the day I put my gear away…

    Looking forward to putting that first hole in the ice, dropping the ducer thru the hole and marking that first fish !!!

    I’m going to be stopping by one of my early ice lakes tomorrow morning to see if there is ice there again… if there is I’m throwing a rock out and casting a slip bobber in just to settle the itch!

    trapping opens here the 8th, deer the 15th, any time after that dave would be fine, I just cant wait to get back out on the river makes that 7hr. drive seam like nothing thanks dave I wont sleep tonight

    Can’t get here fast enough for this guy! Love waking up at the crack of dawn loading the truck up and seeing your breath. Then heading to the lake exchanging laughs and old stories with fishing buddies and upon arriving you fire up those old two strokes or the new four strokes and listen to them purr and rumble in the crisp morning air.

    Sorry to be blunt but that sucks. Was out today in the boat scoping out a few new future ice spots, got to give my new LX-7 a test drive and used jig pole over the side of the boat. The ice will be nice so I can fine tune the spots and have a wind break with me, the boat was kinda nippy.

    I heard several years ago that there was 2-3″ on some of the small lakes around here. I may need to pick up my ice gear when I’m home next. Just in case….

    Ice on the small lakes up here this a.m. It will be gone after Sat. with the wind forecast… But its not going to be long now, unless we get a big push of warm air…
