What heaters you guys running with one man thermal’s?

I have a small sunflower I’ve been using for years in a 2 man flip house, but I’m thinking this will be overkill for the 1 man thermal.

    Mr. Heater Buddy Heater.
Don’t need the Big Buddy but the fan option is nice

Mr Heater Portable Buddy, 4000 on low or 9000 on high, works great in a 1 man non-thermal for me. Use the Big Buddy for my 2 man. See Mr Heater has a new model Hunting Buddy at 6,000 and 12,000 BTU this year.

    Good feedback

Looks like the portable buddy might be the way to go.

How many hours on low will these buddies get on a 1 pounder?

    for the model 4000-9000 BTU:

Operating time will vary depending on the heater setting and the supply cylinder size. Up to 3 to 6 hours on a 1 lb. cylinder. Up to 48 to 110 hours on a 20 lb. cylinder (based on “HI” and “LO” settings).

I use a 5lber for the limited time I use a heater maybe 5 times a year it lasts all season. 1 lbers are emergency units.

I purchased a Striker suit a few years back and that is now the piece of equipment I value the most for staying warm.

    Well good boots too.

I use a Coleman pro cat in my insulated 1 man, I think it’s the older version of the black cat. Anyway, I like it a lot better than my portable buddy for a 1 man shack. plenty of heat and it stays lit in the wind or if I bump it, and it has a fan. Just a couple things that the portable buddy does not do.

x2 but…. went on Coleman’s website to see if I could find parts and didn’t see it. Maybe they discontinued it??
