I’m wondering if this tip up is illegal in wisconsin and minnesota? It says in the description that it is legal in all u.s. states but I am still skeptical… any input on the matter would be appreciated. If its legal I will surely have to pick one of these up for the coming season.

Not legal in Minnesota.
Now looking at the jaw jacker website it looks like its legal in every state except Minnesota so I guess that answers my question.

I hear that it’s a deadly system for trout in the harbor’s of Lake Michigan.
For the life of me, I can not understand why MN outlaws these, yet allows a downrigger to be used…… Both are a fully arched rod that removes the slack and helps drive a hook home the a fish triggers the release…….
It makes no sense to this guy.

If not maybe the company shot them selves in the foot with name choice. After looking at it I think it was a well thought out and made product. But I will say the name had me questioning the product at first.
