Those of you that ice fish should check out the Navionics App these are from Millelacs showing some of the features offered depth highlighting, shallow water highlight. I have a Lifeproof case on mine they say its good down to a depth of 6′ below

Beats the heck out that little screen, they have this for smartphones

Note the other features on the side

Is that another purchase under advanced map options?

Is it on Android yet? Is this an HD app for just tablets?

Those features would be extremely helpful, especially on a phone looking at a map with a lot of tight contour lines.

My Navionics premium north works just fine on my S4. Not the above shading part, but when BK posts coordinates I can look up the location very quickly on my phone.

Thanks. I have read a few of the reviews that people have posted saying it works, however I was curious if i should wait till all the kinks were worked out or not…

The Nav+ layer is an add on, you get a years subscription to all the updated mapping or SonarCharts. Price depends on which version USA or USA and Canada

Yes Advanced Mapping it is a add on something like 4.99 [censored]

which app is that? I have the navonics app on my phone and it looks NOTHING like that, in fact I would say that they app that I have and paid 10 or 15 bucks for sucks big time. On multiple lakes around here it says they are only 10 foot deep when they are more like 30-40, it says there are a lot of boat ramps when there isn’t. I would love a better lake map app if its out there.

Is this add on for the $50 HD version only or is this compatible with the $15 US and Canada version for android? I can’t find this at the play store for my basic US/Canada version and I can’t find any function on my app that allow me to upgrade or add this on.

Upgrade is only available on Ipad/Iphone from my understanding.

The Nav + is the Sonar Charts layer so yes on the iPhone that would be it. I have a Droid Cell phone with the app and the iPad with the App and the SonarCharts/Nav+. Like the iPad with the SonarCharts allot, they are working on the Droid version.

What lake are you looking at? If you got the Web App you can preview the lakes. http://www.navionics.com/en/webapp as you get zoomed in click on the Sonar Icon on the lower left for the SonarCharts layer

What sonar are you using in the summer?

. Ok. It seemed to me the $10 iPhone version on the iPad was just a blown up iPhone view. I was kinda hoping the $50 iPad version was made for the iPad screen.

Lake Sinai in SD, the other lakes i have been on are pretty close but this one is terrible. I don’t use a sonar in the summer, no boat.
