Anyone have problems with there little screws with the black plastic washers that hold the frame poles together mine keep vibrating loose in between moves tried the lock tight did not work for long. Last year at the ice show I mentioned it to the otter guys and they had no clue. called otter and the same results.

I haven’t had any of those screws come loose, but that reminds me I was having issues with the poles staying up on my cabin last winter. I dont know what you call those little buttons that lock in when you extend the poles up, but some of mine were not locking in.

Maybe you overtightened the screws when you put it together and have opened up the holes too big in the aluminum. I know I was concerned about that when I put mine together.

I replaced mine with pop rivets no more problems.

I too have had that issue; my Cabin is over ten years old. What seemingly was happening is that the bolts simply aren’t long enough for the threads to be engaged effectively by the nylock nut. What I did was put the nut on “backwards” where the nylock was the first part of the nut in contact with the thread. I had to work it a bit to get the threading started but they’ve stayed on since. I would have thought Otter would have resolved this by giving another 1/4″ or so length on their bolts so as to allow full engagement. It might have something to do with threads coming through the nut and grapping material but that’s easily enough solved by a rubber cap on the end of the bolt that protruded through the nut.

Had the same issue. Just wrapped mine with electrical tape and problem fixed.
