I was just wondering if anyone who has come up to fish Lake Winnipeg used an LX9, and how did the camera work or not work given the water clarity of the lake. Feedback much appreciated as I am on the fence if I should spend the extra money for the camera with the LX9, or just stay with a 7, as most of my fishing takes place on the big lake. 
I don’t own an LX9, but I do own the latest generation of Marcum cameras, they all use the latest generation of Sony optics, so the quality will be the same, it’s just the screen size that’s different.
I have not tried my lx 9 up there but last year my 825 sd did great. Any lake upnorth thats clear I always bring my camera along. Some time it matters so much its night and day. Even 30 fow I was able to see at least 12 ..15 feet away…but it all depends on the snow and day light…this year there is much more snow then last year so I dont know for sure but it should be enough…to see
Spend the extra money and be done with…I have seen the upgrade for the lx 7 convert to be like a lx 9 and still its another 500 dollars…
