Kinda random question but when you guys pack up your otters with the seats to you leave them in the sitting position or do you pull them off the rail and store them in the bottom of the sled?

I will normally put mine in the sled packed away unless I have to much in my sled, gotta watch the areas where the house is folded into sled and seat sits on that area for wear thats why I rarely ever leave seats on top of canvas.

For short distances I will leave them up on the rail otherwise if I am done for the day they go in the bottom.

I left them on the top rail a few time one year when I packed up for the day and I got wear holes in the tarp from the seat base.

Educate me here if you could. I have an older otter, one of the uninsulated greens ones with the older style seats where each seat spans the entire width of the tub and does NOT have the center support rail. Does the newer style seating rub more on the tent than the older style?

This is the fourth season for my Ice Lodge and I have never taken the seats off the rail and have no wear in the canvas . Seems like lots of room for the canvas behind the rail.

I leave my seats on the rail at all times on my Ice lodges and have no problem at all. There were two types of travel covers one that fit much tighter than the other with that cover you may want to remove the seats but if you have the more roomier travel cover there should be no reason to remove your seats.
