which deeper panfish rod to buy?

I wanted an opinion on which deeper water (20+ feet) ice rod is preferred. I own a short (19 inch) custom made panfish rod with spring bobber and a TUC 30″ noodle rod. I was wondering about maybe a quiverstick or perhaps a perch sweetheart. Maybe some of you can tell me some suggestions and some differences between these rods. Maybe one from TUC would be a good choice too. I use a Ross flyreel on the other two panfish rods i own and thought a spinning reel or a straight line multiplier reel would be a better choice for deeper fish. Thanks for the ideas.

The Quiverstick is a great rod and has awesome hook setting power in deep water. Also you can feel every single thing down there.

+1 on the Quiverstick. If you have the budget, I would look at the Quiverstick Stealth. It is a little lighter than the regular Quiverstick, but you can honestly feel a crappie suck the bait into its mouth in 30 FOW.

Thank you for the suggestion about the stealth handle, I knew about the handle but forgot to ask. I did however go on the website, but did not see it as an option. Any idea on how much that extra option is?

Take a look at the 24″ UL from 13 fishing, I’m thinking the “Wicked” and the “White Noise” use the same blank, but darn it that an awesome rod for the money. I think I picked mine up for $20…

Are you willing to give any details about the rod and release date plus do you offer a simular handle?

I guess I don’t consider 20ft to be deep. I tried a TB Power Noodle and was not at all impressed with the lack of sensitivity, so Lonnie at TB kindly exchanged it for a 26″ TripWire. I’m am very impressed with that one. I pretty much fish 20-30 ft all winter. I don’t see why people think a longer rod is needed. The shorter rod works great and provides a good hookset. Though I may go custom and get it one inch longer.

Yes the release date is set for mid summer.
You will hear about it on here from some people.

Shoot me an email and I can get you on a list.
