Early ice devils lake

Hello everyone and I hope you are all having a wonderful ice season. I was planning on next year going to devils lake early ice cause I heard it’s good for walleyes. I was wondering since the lake is so big what are some general areas I should target first. I’m not asking for gps coordinates just general area. Also maybe some areas for perch. Thank you all very much and pm if u want.

I would go to Pelican lake first since it seem to be the most safest part of Devils Lake to ice up. Another place to try is is Lake Irvin which is by churches Ferry and it flow into Devils Lake.
