lx7 issues

Got the lx7 on Friday fished Saturday with it and was awesome. Today on the other hand not so good. The digital depth reads 21 feet ok that’s good than it jumps to 15 then 18 then 7 then 20 then 17 and so on. It also seems to have a TON of interference and I am no where near anybody. Checked both the power and sonar connections. Adjusted IR, sens, cone, range, target, basically have adjusted everything I can with no luck. At this rate I will be going back to the trusty ol fl18. Any tips?

Does it have the 3.17 update? Many of the 6’s and 7’s had this issue early in the ice season. I know after I did the update it resolved this issue for me on my 6.

More than likely you are running version 2.9 or 3.01.. I found that turning it to open water mode helped with the dynamic depth going wacky, otherwise you will have to go in an put it in a manual mode, 10,20,40 ft. Also try switching over to the 7 color palette. If running the 3.17 make sure to check that you are in ice fishing mode, because the first time out after updating mine I was still in open water mode and when i would have fish come in it would start jumping all around, switched to ice fishing mode at it worked flawlessly.. Also check your voltage, once you get down past 11 volts marcum says that your unit may not perform properly.

Are you running v3.17? If not, upgrade. Will make a world of difference.

Left the ice early. (pooring rain) came home and updated the 3.01 to the 3.17. Now we wait till URL Friday. Hopefully it helps! Thanks gentleman!

That was your issue. V3.01 was filled with bugs. 3.17 is flawless. Good luck on URL!
