In our area a minnow under a bobber on a 1/16 oz. jig works well for perch and crappies too.
    Hope this helps.

Perch are notorious for shutting down and not biting. It is key to be on fish when the feeding window opens up. Cold fronts seem to turn them off here and crappie minnows is often what is needed when they are negative.

    Are you using a flasher?

Reason I ask is do you still see them and they won’t trigger? The other option is they have moved or just stuck to the bottom.

Crappie minnow is a really good suggestion. Another one is to use waxies on either a jig or a small spoon.

when they are not wanting ti hit i down size to smallest fiska i have and put one wiggler on sometimes that is enough to get them to hit.but cold fronts do tend to shut them down.
