Hello everyone i had a question about walleye fishing. What are some key things that you look for on a lake or a map of the lake when you are targeting for walleyes on both jigging and for tip ups. Also what are some times of the day that you would fish these certain areas. PM me if you don’t want to share on the forum. Thanks very much.

Welcome to IDO It really depends on the type of lake – deep basin, shallow basin, flowage or river? If your looking at Delavan, target the deepest weed edges that have fast access to deep water

Like Randy said tell us a little more about the waters your are planing on fishing.

The video tab is a great resource of information. There is a lot of past shows that have been done on hard water walleyes. James and other IDO Staff do a awesome job explaining tips and tactics!

The best walleye bite is usually at dusk and dawn. Fish shallow just above green weeds if you can find them.
