Ice fishing line outside for perch and walleye?

I’m planning a four day trip to Leech lake this coming weekend. I’ll be fishing outside most of the time and will using a swivel with a flurocarbon leader and a quick attach clip.

I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try out a couple different lines for my jigging rods. I normally am fishing 1/8 oz to 1/4 oz spoons or #3 to #5 jigging raps.

    Any suggestions?

4lb p-line floroclear! Skip the swivel it really dose nothing to prevent line twist. I fish jigging raps about 90% of the time and don’t notice a bad twisting problem.

I’m using 3 lb P-line on my spring bobber set ups, but haven’t tried it in 4 or 6 lbs. Does any place have it in stock around the east side of the cities?? I bought the 2 and 3 lb at Thorne Bros.

I’m bringing my girlfriend and a couple buddies. Will fish out of Pine Point most likely during the day for perch… maybe Walker Bay for walleyes.

X2 on the p-line! Using it for the first time this year and I’ll definitely use it again!

P-line is great, and I’ll put a vote in for the Sufix Ice Magic as well. They’re similar copoly’s, and the Ice Magic is usually a bit easier to find. Have had great luck with both!

Not a walleye guy or a perch jerker, but sufix ice magic is my favorite line by far! Cheap, easy to find, very thin, very limp, very sensitive!
