    Just recieved my LX9 . I have only owned vexilars up till now but was impressed with the marcum.The big problem is the screen keeps locking up. The unit runs for 3 to 4 minutes then freezes up. I reloaded the software but the results are the same. I emailed Marcum on thursday and recieved no response called friday left messages got no callbacks any suggestions?

    Did your unit come with the latest firmware v1.29? If not, try updating and see if that cures your problems. I’ve haven’t had my 7 lock up on me yet like yours

    I have noticed when you need to get hold of marcum. Don’t email or leave voicemail. Just call them every minute or thirty seconds and someone will finally answer. I found that works great.

    Unfortunatly, posts like this won’t go away till people stop posting all the problems they have with their Marcums. People won’t stop posting all their problems till there are no problems to post. It does seem strange that there are so many problems posted with Marcum on this site. And every time somebody posts a problem you can almost guarantee multiple peope chime in with similiar issues. Is Marcum really having that hard of a time fixing their bugs? Are they not testing products before they go to the shelves?

    I keep calling until I get through as well, I probably wait like 15 minutes between calls. One nice thing once you do get a hold of them, they do not try to rush you off the phone.

    Is the battery charged? I was using a Lx9 tonight that locked up; the battery was @ 11.3volts when it happened. After I rebooted it, it ran for a few minutes then started chugging and read Blow for a voltage.

    mikeo, when you said “reloaded” I’m assuming you meant the upgrade software. If so, I would reload the file from the Marcum sight again and put it on a clean sd card and run the upgrade again. I have between 40 & 50 hours on mine and have had the screen freeze twice in that time period. In both cases I had made MANY back to back changes with all the settings as I’ve been learning more about the unit. I’m sure like any software when so many changes have been made, it needs a hiccup. Hopefully this gets rectified for you soon!

    I downloaded the software to a clean sd card and put it back into the LX9 and the screen still locks up.

    no but I did have issues with the FL22 that were corrected by vexilar
