I haven’t hooked mine up to a TV yet, so limited knowledge on that. I do know you need to change the settings in the menu for formatting to a TV Vs the LCD screen. When you record, you do not record the sonar over-lay on the image. So I’m inclined to believe that the sonar info isn’t passed through the video out. Hopefully James has tried it and will jump in.
Anyone with and LX9 that will be on the south end of Mille Lacs this weekend and wants to help my curiousity out feel free to PM my on how to get to my house to give it a try!

I had a few minutes, so I hooked the video out to my 60″ rear projection.
Menu – System setting – Video Out – on
Then I went through all the display options – Works flawlessly!!!
Now, How the heck to I power up a 60″ screen on the ice

dang, I’m still giggling. Suddenly that 8″ screen looks so small 
I could see doing an on-ice seminar and having a big screen for everyone to see! WOW, you guys in the big shacks are going to need a new recliner to go along with this!
going to have to sell off all my vexilars now and get a LX9! having a 40″ flasher on Mille Lacs while sitting in my recliner chair is going to be sweet!
Looks like I’ll be sending in my 7 for a total makeover this summer! Time for the 9!
This just keeps getting better. Neighbor stopped by and I still had the 9 connected to my TV. We got bs’n about fishing shacks and all the toys some guys have in them. Anyways, he has a Terk Leapfrog wireless video transmitter and he went home and got one of them. I hooked it to the video out and was sending video to his DVR box across the street (about 175′). He said it was crystal clear. 
Downfall is when the video out is on, the LCD screen is blank. In the furture, it would be cool to have both operating. Oh, this is too much fun and hard to get any work done
Lx9, 32″ flat screen, recliner, wheelhouse, beer. That sounds awfully good right now!

Any idea if it will output both the camera and flasher information at the same time…you know with the overlay? That would be so sweet if Marcum had that built in!

Pictures #1 & #3 I probably should have faced the camera head toward something worth looking at. I just laid it on the floor next to the case. Heads up, Sonar only, and split screen

Ok I see it now that I looked again. Thats great! Now if Marcum can have the LCD screen display at the same time as the TV you would really be set. Maybe on next years model?
I don’t know how Marcum has it configured (hardwired) but hopefully there is similarity to H/bird. Maybe just a software upgrade. Thinking about all the changes in my 1197 from the first day it came out to now, and all I ever did was run the software upgrades!
