Hello I have a question about my jiffy stealth blade so I bought the auger last year and I have to push extremely hard for it to cut and I bought it after using my friends same auger that you practically have to apply no pressure for it to cut and I bought new blades for it and there sharp as can be is there away to bend the blade to make it cut better or what’s my problem?

Sounds like a pitch issue with the end of the auger itself. If a brand new blade is not cutting thats where I would start. I have been running the same blade on my auger since new going on at least 5 years and drill dozens of holes each trip. Was the auger ever droped? Does it bounce around on you while drilling?

The inside blades on the Stealth often get clogged with ice impairing its ability to cut but that doesnt happen until after you have drilled some holes and encounter just the right conditions.

I run the same auger and drill many holes in an outing and actually almort lift alittle bit. Never do I push down on it. You definately have a pitch issue. I would call jiffy explain the situation maybe they will work with you. The stealth is great and will outlast all blades out there.

Did you buy it new or used? If you bought it new take it back or call jiffy. If you bought it used maybe it’s dull blades. I had mine for years where I wouldn’t press on it and now I have to a little. I’m assuming the blades are getting dull or maybe it was ice build up.

Bought the auger new and bought new blades as well I have another question at the bottom of the auger the black plate that holds the blades and has the center point is that plate supposed to be tight or doeles it wiggle back and forth?
