    heading to lake of the woods this coming weekend,going out of long point,cyrus resort.wondering if thiers anyone out there can point me in the right direction?hopeing weather this weekend does not turn everything off….really looking for crappies,any help would be very friendly,thanks

    Not that ive seen everything there is to see but I have spent quite a bit of time on LOW over the past 6 years and have never seen or heard of a crappie coming from the basin area. Not saying it hasnt’ happened but…
    Hope I’m not ruining your day, maybe I’m saving the ruined day?

    Get deep 32’+ and you should be on sauger and eyes.

    I have to also agree, that’s the 1st I heard of targeting Crappies on basin. Been going there for 25+ years and have never caught a crappie.
    Have to agree with other post though, head to 30+ feet of water, get away for people if you can, and hopefully the walleyes and Saugers will cooperate.

    Some monster perch have been caught the last couple weekends while jigging for eyes.
