Yesterday I was out fishing with my vs380 and as soon as I dropped my camera down and looked at the monitor I was staring right at about a 5lb northern…I was thinking don’t you dare bite my camera…Then later in the day I glanced at my camera and all I saw was wide open jaws and boom my camera started swinging….Has anyone ever had a big pike bite the camera and run with it??

That would be pretty cool to see, as long as it is your camera and not mine! I think the cable they use is like 250# test so I don’t think he can literally take your camera, but it would be cool to see him try.

I have all kinds of recorded pike footage hitting the camera, opening their jaws on it and just staring it down. I even have a clip where 3 pike together are plotting an attack.

My buddy was catching crappies and had a Muskie chase one to the hole. Kinda startled him. So he is sitting there a couple minutes and noticed his vexilar starting to move. He was like what the heck?? He looked in the hole and there was mr.muskie clamped on to his transducer pulling the vex into the hole. He grabbed it and the ski took off. Crazy

So I take it you don’t believe in the myth that the clicking noise scares the fish away? LOL

Never had a pike hit my vex but every once and a while bass will hit it.

I don’t use my camera much anymore but yes on pike and I’ve had burbot start their spawn ball around my camera too…I felt violated. When the camera’s rocking, don’t come knocking. ;-)

Caught a nice bass quite a few years ago, while adjusting my float to the right depth. Hooked my depth bomb{oarnge in color}on the jig and dropped it down the hole and the bass took it.Crazy Cool!

I looked down the hole one day and saw a pike with the whole camera in his mouth. He let go after a little bit. Since then I have attached a large hook…..I hope to catch one that way some day!

Kind of makes you feel silly to have ever been skunked pike fishing.

lol. the one on my vid came back and hit the dead stick after i pulled my jigging rod out and packed away my flasher. i think it was just too much in the water for him in one area. i was about to grab my dead stick after packing everything else away to move to a new location and he took it for a ride!

This happened to me. So I thought, how about taking a shad rap and putting it on a wind tipup. Do not tell any one but this works. If they will bite a camera why not a lure that looks like a fish? Jerry
