On the horizontal jigs, which knot do you use.
With using a tight knot cinched down I feel I can get a better presentation. But, that means almost aways repositioning the knot after a missed bite.
Don’t have the confidence in the loop knot. For you guys that like the loop knot, how big is the loop?

    Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Next time fishing for me will be sailfish in Zihua.

I second the no-knot snap idea. I love those things, very small and not so obviouse. When I do use a loop knot, I make it as small as possible, usually they are just big enough to slip a pencil in there.

I always tie a loop on my tungsten and my diamond jigs. These jigs will then hang at a 45 degree angle and for me I have had my best luck with this angle. I don’t get too caught up in how big the loop is, I try to make it as small as I can but sometimes it ends up bigger than I want. I have had the loop break right at the eye of the jig after several fish so now I just check the knot every so often.
