Ever have one of those fish that you instantly think “I would have not caught that fish without” …whatever prduct or tool it may be?
Well yesterday afternoon, my LX-7 was that item. Numerous holes that we had drilled had lethargic fish that would either hug bottom and barely move, or come up and just sit right under your lure. On my 7 with the zoom features on the chart and vertical display, I was really able to focus in and read as to what these fish were doing. I got a good “feel” that they were indeed walleyes, but they just did not want to eat. So i did as any other angler would. I simply moved 50 yards away into different water, and you can see the result.
To be honest, I could have used no electronics to catch some of the fish i did because they were so active and aggresive. BUT, what allowed me to find them and in the end catch the fish? My LX-7. Hands down this is the reason why. I was able to read thru multiple information displays that the fish i was marking just did not want to eat. A lot of times this is the case whether we are fishing walleyes, panfish, and especially trout. They will be there, but the time of day isnt right, the depth they are at isnt exactly what they need to be at for them to eat, and many other factors. A simple move, someitmes across the lake, or in my case yesterday, a mere 50 yards can make be a night and day difference.
Really take the time to dial in your electronics and make use of all that the LX-7, LX-9 and LX-6 have to offer. Understand what the fish are feeling, how they are acting etc. The tools are all right there, in that little red bag to enable you to do so!
