Mille Lacs walleye fishing

    We spent last sunday & Monday fishing Mille lacs. We rented our ice house from Portavilla out of Liberty beach. Nice house and good rate, will go back for sure. The bite was slow, but we kept at it and caught some nice eyes. No eaters, all our fish were between 22 and 26 inches. That made the trip from Nebraska worth it.

    I would have no problem catching and releasing fish like that through the ice!

    Thanks for the report Dabeez. Girlfriend and I are heading up to Mille Lacs tomorrow for 2 days of fishing. We are going to be in a sleeper house out of Liberty Beach and Portavilla also. Glad to hear you had a good trip and caught some nice walleyes. I may post a quick report when we get back.

    We are heading up there on Sunday through tuesday. Staying at Portavilla as well. I hope we can still pull a few fish up even with the cold temps expected.
