So whats your favorite color jigging spoon for crappie/bull bluegill?

I’ve had good luck with the demon spoons in the glow blue color.

Slender spoons! They crush them! tipped with euros or not if bite is on. Crappies race up to slam it. Gills will come up slow then hit. Love slender spoons.

I wish someone local carried the slender spoons! I’ve always wanted to try them but the only place I’ve seen them is from CJ&S themselves.. which means $7 shipping + tax for a couple spoons.

Yes from ice shanty. I use silver with green and silver with red on stained lake where I live here in MN. I think it is the best spoon I have ever used. Great action and multispecies bait.

northland tackle forage minnows work great for big gills and crappies i use the glow pink and glow greens in low light conditions when there really on the chew…basically the same spoon as the lindy spoons but cost a little less

yeah the day before we were running around gull hitting walleye in deep water, nothing of real size but lotta 12s and a 15.5 our group had 54 eyes between the 5 of us that afternoon, too bad all were small but it was still fun, and handful of perch and a bonus tulibee too.

Best birthday present I’ve ever gotten from a forum! 4 sweet looking slender spoons. Now I’m ready to go out and kick some crappie butt! Got a silver with glow strip and a gold with chartreuse strip tied on for tomorrow.

    Thanks again James!

Everything is worth the $$$ if it works for you. Looking back nearly 30 years ago, I had the most difficult time putting confidence into spoons for panfish (mostly crappies) As evolution would have it, they are my first go-to bait. By far, I use the slendor spoons the most on MOST bodies of water. Some lakes, they seem to respond to less flutter better and I use the Kastmasters for that. My first experience with any type of spoons for pannies was Swedish pimples in lake Geneva in the summer. The big bull gills tend to be deep 25-40 feet down in 60+ fow. Swedish pimple and a couple wax worms and it was lights out on the gills. I stumbled into crappies on Geneva and did equally as well. Then I started using them on Mendota for perch, and found I was missing a lot less fish and doing much better than my previous techniques. From that, I just kept building confidence and trying them everywhere.
