We got there at 3pm on Friday and started fishing from our on the ice cabin, the slop on the ice and conditions didnt fare well for a portable, we didnt need one as it turned out. We were in 27 feet of water and at noon on Monday we had caught and released 35 walleyes and a 35inch northern.
Variety was the key with large Chubby Darters, Glo-Devils,Slender Spoons, and Macho Minnows being the jigging preferences,,
THANKS TO JAMES for his tip up presentation of the quick strike that we converted to teh rattle reels for about a half dozen large walleyes and the northern pike..
The staff at Red Door was fabulous, even when the bridge closed for quite awhile , they were busy getting it open again. Thank you Bobber for the hard work…
The kitchen is a great place to eat and very reasonable on prices and great on flavor, please give them a little business if your there, burgers are great too.
