Balsam lake perch

    Was able to get out fishing for a few hours tonight and hit up a spot on balsam where I found some nice perch last year ice fishing. It was slow for the first hour or so but then the waves of nice perch came in. Caught about 40 that were 7-13″ and kept 9 that were 10-13″. Was fishing in 34′ of water with a gold slender spoon.

    Nice fish, Fishing is really slow around Spooner right now.

    I should add that there was 14-16″ of ice where I drilled holes.
