Is the bridge still available?

I am still on the fence. I may just wait until next year. Seems like inlines and and multipliers are all the rage. It is probably the biggest trend in ice fishing now. Just look at all the options now as compared to 3 or even 2 years ago.

As much as I want one I am not going to pay $100 for an ice reel.
I understand what you are saying. Apparently some people don’t think $99 is out of line because people are buying them on ebay for up to $185 each.
Another classic example of a item that catches more fisherman than fish!

I’m guessing you haven’t tried one. They are worth the money just for the way the line peels off the reel compared to any of my other reels. This is a style of reel that is here to stay. Reel Weeds, now that was a gimmick (and yes I did buy some of those and only used them once).
Looks like I’ll be holding off until next season before I splurge on a 6061. In the meantime, I’ll be buying a Shimano Sedona 500 to slap on my TUC noodle

Do you guys see any changes and/or improvements made to the current 6061 next ice season? Would be crappy if I bought one this year only to be one uped next year with new improvements made to it. Thanks
There is a new drag that is being tested. And it is ALOT smoother.

It is not the NEED for a $100 reel, but the WANT! This is AMERICA and everyone has their choices on what they like to buy.Do I need a $60000 truck to go to work , NO but if I want one then it is MY choice. For $100 you are getting a very nicely designed and built fishing reel. I have not used any of my other rods once this Season.Yes they are also coming out with a 2nd Generation of these reels also.As for the Bridges I have 12 of them already.
I picked up an EC for $30 just to try out the design vs spending $100 and then finding out I hate the reel type..that being said, I’m now confident in the design and will see if they fix the drag and other issues in the next generation, they also need to pick up the quality, if so, i’ll gladly pay the $100

Is there any fish under the bridge?

Not fair to compaire the EC to the 6061, the EC has along ways togo to match up with the 6061….

Do you guys believe the reel is worth the pricetag? Or should I hold off until next year?
No of course not. And yes I’d wait until next year, although they won’t be priced as low as some of us are hoping even with added competition.
got out with mine for the first time..loved everything about it except for the drag….the drag was pretty bad…think i will be returning it to cabelas and waiting for next years!!! free spool is money…also smooth!!!
